What are With Profit Bonds ?

  • Are Life Assurance Bonds that invest in a With Profits Fund. The idea of With-Profits Funds is to give investors exposure to a broad spread of investments which can include shares, fixed interest securities, property and cash deposits whilst smoothing out the fluctuations in the market.

  • With Profits Bonds have no fixed term but should not be considered for periods of less than five years. They provide the opportunity of regular income and can be extremely tax efficient in certain circumstances.

You should note that your capital is not as secure in the above investments as it would be in a bank or building society account.
